meet the artist

Hello! I'm Colleen, a Canadian emerging artist who paints from my home studio nestled within the forested foothills of Alberta.  My original works are influenced by my adventures in nature, rural living, and local wildlife.

 

Primarily self-taught, I have also been guided by workshops, classes, and the support of fellow artists, developing a style that reflects my curiosity and love of exploration.  Using a limited color palette gives my paintings a distinctive sense of harmony and depth, while expressive brushwork adds energy and texture to each piece.

Time spent outdoors – immersed in nature – is both essential and energizing to my creative process, offering moments of calm that fuel my art.  I believe that art is powerful, feeding the soul of both the artist and viewer. Striving for continuous growth and authenticity, I find joy in hearing how people connect with my work and am grateful for the opportunity to share my passion.
